Nature Medicine
Ecotherapy in Scotland
Targeted Therapy
Suitable for everyone. It's a chance to chat, actively be heard, and for you to investigate.
Your eco-therapist will approach the session with a Person-centred Counselling perspective. A 'humanistic' approach, meaning it focuses on human potential, free will and self-discovery. Unlike other types of therapy, it focuses on the ways in which people perceive themselves consciously, rather than their unconscious thoughts or ideas.

What is Eco-Therapy?

As mentioned above, we use a person-centred counselling approach and combine this with the outdoors, applying our approach in a natural ecological context. In essence we believe the sense and connection of 'place' are vital to our personal wellbeing. A more-than human perspective including ourselves in nature and that global environmental factors do figure in our therapy and counselling.

Within our Nature Medicine sessions we adopt a more traditional client / therapist relationship. The usual confidentiality clauses (across all our work) are evident and we work with you on a one-to-one basis. The topics / focus of the time is dictated by you, and we support your investigation through active listening skills and help you elaborate or zoom into the topic, as required.

These sessions can be booked from an hour session to a day's journeys. We operate on a trial session to ensure the fit is right between the therapist and yourself. Assuming all parties are happy we run a minimum of six diarised and pre-paid sessions to ensure you have the time and space to delve into discovery.
